For the public opening of The Cutaway, a newly reimagined underground space dedicated to culture, learning and community, artist Shaun Daniel Allen Transformed a large scale canvas work through his bold, expressive practice, drawing on his Yugambeh and Bundjalung heritage and roots in punk and community.

China Heights Gallery partnered with Cartier to present a curated selection of contemporary Australian artworks for an exclusive High Jewellery event in Melbourne, coinciding with the CARTIER: Melbourne Winter Masterpieces® exhibition at the NGV.
Installed throughout a private residence, the artworks were carefully selected to create a dialogue between contemporary art, architecture and Cartier's exceptional jewellery collection. Through materiality, colour and form, each work contributed to an immersive experience that encouraged close looking and moments of quiet discovery
Shaun Daniel Allen ‘Of Water, of Earth’ for Hermes
Artist Shaun Daniel Allens (Shal) takeover of the Hermès Sydney Trust windows and store featuring dyed and painted canvases, textiles alongside a rich rockscape, laced with tiny water-filled rockpools encapsulating an array of Hermès Objects. Shal’s work - magical, intuitive, profoundly elemental - unfurled, taking on a life of its own and paying respect to the Gadigal Land on which Hermès Sydney Trust is built. The work intends to create a spiritual unison and intersection between his artwork and the heritage architecture that lies at the heart of the building.
