Kitty Callaghan was commissioned to create two original artworks for LA MAIN – THE BOOK, a prestigious publication commemorating the unveiling of the LVMH Métiers d'Art building in Paris. Designed by acclaimed architect Clément Lesnoff-Rocard, the building stands as a testament to craftsmanship, innovation, and luxury.

For Nanushka’s Pre-Fall 2024 campaign, artist Kitty Callaghan reworked the brand’s original campaign imagery into a series of bold, surreal collage pieces, blending fragmented textures, vibrant colors, and unexpected compositions to create a fresh, artistic reinterpretation of the collection’s organic shapes and earthy tones. In a remarkable fusion of art and horology,  Swiss watch and jewellery house Chopard this week unveiled the latest chapter of their Alpine Eagle series: the Alpine Eagle “Sunburnt”, an exclusive timepiece that marries Swiss precision with a tribute to Australia’s rich cultural tapestry. This limited edition, comprising only 20 pieces, is born from a unique collaboration with artist Indigenous artist, musician and tattoist Shal, aka Shaun Daniel Allen, a Yugambeh-born, Bundjalung man currently based in Gadigal land, Sydney.

Louis Vuitton has today unveiled a new store in the centre of Brisbane’s Queen Street Mall.

The international luxury fashion house has brought in Otis Hope Carey, an Australian artist at the heart of the store, to create an impressive mural spanning the basement to the ground floor. Here, the artist’s Gumbaynggirr clan totem Gaagal (the ocean) is explored as a woven and undulating repeated motif that mesmerises and draws the eye through the entire lower floor.

Artist Max Berry was commissioned to create a site specific artwork for Capella Sydney. Responding to the hotel's refined architecture, the work explores the interplay of line, colour, light and shadow, creating a quiet dialogue between painting and space. Drawing on Berry's dreamlike landscapes, the composition evokes memories of air, water and clouds, inviting moments of stillness and contemplation. Designed to complement the surrounding interiors, the artwork extends the hotel's commitment to thoughtful contemporary Australian art, offering guests a subtle and immersive experience of place.

Otis Hope Carey GAAGAL series, 2022 for Capella Sydney.

The phrase “GAAGAL”, translates to Ocean which is the totemic spiritual emblem of the Gumbaynggirr people, and is reflected in the topographical nature of the paintings and their visual relationship to oceanic current charts and movements. The layering and line work of Carey's pieces create a beautiful union of visual immediacy and the tracings of an intrinsic and sensitive bond.

Gucci invited curator and artist Edward Woodley to collaborate on an art installation and limited edition prints based on some key looks from the  Epilogue collection.  Woodley’s work combines his style of contrasting underlays and collages while borrowing inspiration from the textiles used by the Italian fashion house, and is further explored in a video installation, displayed in the Sydney Flagship Store.
