William Harden returns to China Heights Gallery with Apercevoir, a body of work spanning a 6-year sabbatical in which the artist made works through his travels across Central and South America and Germany. Once back in Australia he continued to make work from Byron Bay to Western Australian mine sites and in Melbourne where he is now based.

Apercevoir is a coming of age odyssey that explores Harden’s abstract modus operandi fused with a recent focus on portrait and figurative formalities attempting to reconcile the world around him.

This collection of works on paper and oil on canvas painting’s see the return of Harden to China Heights Gallery where he began his career as an artist in 2007 where he spent 2 years as an artist in residence and held three highly acclaimed solo exhibitions. Harden’s paintings are held in the UK, Germany, China, Australia and the USA.
