The ELLERY Flagship boutique located at 213 Glenmore Road Paddington is launching a gallery
on its mezzanine. For their first exhibition ELLERY will be partnering with cult Sydney gallery, China Heights.
There is rich symbiosis between Ellery and China Heights, with ELLERY's first show in 2007 taking place at the Foster Street Exhibition Space to a vibrant crowd.
ELLERY has long been immersed with the art world taking inspiration seasonally from a plethora of artists and mediums. The gallery is a natural extension of the brand and further anchors their commitment to nurturing Art and Culture as well as creating a space to extend this message to their clients.
Kym Ellery talks about the new project: "Growing up within an artistic household, with an artist mother meant that galleries became a second home. I wanted to create a space above the store to engage with the creatives that inspire me, producing a space that I can share these amazing artworks with the community. In the same way each collection talks to an artistic subject matter, I wanted the store to mirror this sentiment”. Launching October 14th with contemporary landscape painter Annalisa Ferraris, followed by a roster of diversely talented artists, including lino print artist Allie Webb and modern Indigenous artist Otis Hope Carey.
ELLERY will be collaborating with artists to produce a limited edition capsule of customized pieces for sale exclusively in the ELLERY flagship store.
Each fortnight the ELLERY GALLERY X CHINA HEIGHTS RESIDENCY will celebrate the launch of an artist with a champagne event in the store and gallery.
